Language, Writing, Evolution, and Nationalism

Languages are one of the most fascinating things to me, so much so that I wrote about the importance of the printing press in every single one of my grad school papers (I studied European politics but that invention was so important that it was no stretch to discuss it). And there are still oral language today, which take a different evolutionary course than their written peers. Whichever route they take however, they have a major impact on their nation.

What's in a Region?

Regions might come across established but in reality their borders are fluid. A simple assignment during my study abroad course really honed in the point that everybody views the world differently.
